If you don't have much time here but want to get a taste of the lush green forest the Northwest is known for , Forest Park is barely 5 minutes past downtown to the west. It's one of the largest urban forest in the United States, with more than 80 miles of soft-surface trails, fire lanes and forest roads. Forest Park stretches for more than seven miles along the the hills you'll see bordering the downtown skyline. Despite it's proximity to the city, it feels like you're a world away.
